Animal mediation and well-being, support for vulnerable people, personal development, workshops, walks, fun trails with donkeys, animal care

Donkeys-relax

Anes-relax was born from the need to create links and structure the activities offered

with donkeys and farm animals.

Donkeys-relax offers:

  • Promote the development and well-being of people through animal mediation and well-being practices.
  • Improve the psychological, cognitive, physical, psychosocial and emotional potential of people in fragile or difficult situations through animal mediation.
  • Promote motor skills, socialization, sensoriality, communication, autonomy and quality of life of people.
  • Offer personalized support for different audiences: children, adolescents, adults in fragile situations, with disabilities or experiencing psychological difficulties, as well as elderly people in institutions.
  • Work in animal-assisted therapy with individuals, associations and various institutions (retirement homes, residential establishments for dependent elderly people, centres specialising in follow-up and rehabilitation care, educational medical institutes and medical-psychological centres, etc.) who wish to include animal-assisted therapy work in an establishment project. Propose partnerships with schools.
  • Promote activities of all kinds around donkeys, equines, farm animals and nature that may be linked to artistic practices, art or well-being practices (yoga, chi-gong, relaxation, sophrology, self-hypnosis, etc.) in the form of activities, walks, awareness-raising, workshops, courses, internships, training, conferences, trade fairs/exhibitions, events.
  • To teach and promote the knowledge, education and welfare of donkeys, equines and farm animals.
  • Promote and teach natural techniques to ensure the well-being of animals on a daily basis and in particular to preserve the well-being of mediator animals (energy care, Bach flowers, animal communication, shiatsu, etc.).
  • Offer services related to animal energy such as: porterage activity with work on foot with a pack saddle, agricultural activity with the maintenance of natural spaces allowing public or agricultural works to be carried out in sensitive and/or difficult to access natural spaces, passenger transport activity or waste collection.

The public is supervised by a team made up of professionals in the field and institutions and/or parents if necessary. The role of Ânes-relax is to offer facilitators, educators, psychologists and parents a range of activities involving trained donkeys, equines and farm animals accustomed to human presence. The preventive, educational and/or therapeutic orientation of the animal mediation activity remains the project of the professionals who intervene in supporting the beneficiaries.

His current areas of work

Animal mediation

Contribution of mediation for preventive, educational or therapeutic support for vulnerable groups.

Wellness activities

We offer activities around donkeys, farm animals, nature and well-being to help you find more serenity and joy.

You can find all the activities offered on the dedicated page and the dates on the schedule or by requesting them by email at the bottom of the page. We will be happy to welcome you to share these unique moments with you.

Animal care

Animals, both large and small, also need care, especially mediator animals who are in contact with the public. They need to "unload".

The sessions in energy care, advice on Bach flowers will allow them to free themselves, to rebalance themselves to find balance and lighten up.

The speaker

My connection with the people around me who help me in this project is a passion for donkeys, animals and nature.

We are sensitive to human and animal well-being as well as respect for the environment.

Sandrine Leonard

Founder,

certified professional animal-assisted therapy practitioner

Holder of a Teaching Aptitude Certificate,

I was a professor at a music conservatory and a musician in the first part of my professional life.

I created my alternative practices firm in 2011 after training in energy practices (magnetism, Reiki, bioenergy, geobiology),

to sophrology (RNCP certified sophrologist, graduate of the Paris Institute of Sophrology and Sophrotherapy), to Ericksonian hypnosis,

to Self-hypnosis (practitioner certificate at the Sophrenzen Brief Therapies Training Institute) and to floritherapy (accredited Bach flower advisor, Bach Foundation England).

I then moved towards animal mediation by training at the French Institute of Zootherapy and the Agatéa Institute.

I am a certified professional animal-assisted therapy practitioner.

in a care facility with the equine.

Currently training in Gestalt therapy at the Limousin Institute of Training and Gestalt Therapy, I plan to include this practice in my mediation activity and within my practice.

Passionate about animals and horses since my youngest age,

I raised and educated with my husband, two Poitevin mules with whom we did a lot of work on foot and in freedom with a very beautiful and very special connection (that of the world of mules)

as well as numerous forest walks.

Then I got closer to the world of donkeys

who are now part of my life.

I trained in the knowledge and management of donkeys,

to their education, to equine ethology and to working on foot with equines.

Through this mediation work, I can therefore combine my knowledge of being

and my know-how, my personal experience with animals which dates back to my childhood with the different alternative methods that I practice daily for myself, the animals and the people I support.

Holder of the Certificate of Commitment and Knowledge

for the possession of an equine,

I am committed to respecting animal welfare and the environment.

Signatory of the Charter of Ethics and Professional Conduct specifically adapted to the needs of professional workers in animal therapy and/or animal-assisted mediation.

Approaches in session

Mindfulness

Mindfulness is "a state of awareness that results from paying attention, intentionally, in the present moment, without judgment, to the unfolding experience moment by moment."

It allows the development of an ability to relate differently to lived experience.

Exercising mindfulness is close to what Gestalt therapy means by awareness: it is about centering oneself, grounding oneself, exercising one's vigilance, awakening to oneself and to the world using all one's senses.

Take the time to sit or pose in the right outfit, in the right form and do nothing except slip into full attention to the coming and going of the breath.

Mindfulness helps to shift from doing mode to being mode. Being mode helps to move away from ruminations and open up to simple happiness and inner calm.

It is a strengthening tool to be more emotionally stable, to better enjoy existence, to be fully aware of what is experienced here and now.

Connecting to the present moment allows a step back that happens naturally. The feeling of what is being experienced becomes clearer with more discernment. It allows the mind to be soothed and another to be established.

relationship between the world “from within” and the world “from

out ".

Sophrology

Sophrology is a psychocorporeal approach designed by Professor Alfonso Caycédo who was a doctor and neuropsychiatrist. It is inspired by Western techniques and knowledge (relaxation, neuroscience, psychology, hypnosis, etc.) and Eastern practices (yoga, meditation, Zen). Sophrology connects us to our body by listening to our bodily sensations. It helps to soothe the mind, release muscular tension and regulate emotional balance.

This practice, while allowing you to calm down, allows you to approach life in a more positive and serene way.

It is a gentle method which contributes to the overall balance of the individual.

The practice of sophrology allows, over the course of the sessions, to reestablish the link and balance between the body and the mind.

This rediscovered connection allows you to regain self-esteem and improve your quality of presence to yourself and to others.

The more sophrology is practiced, the more it provides means of help and action to maintain stability and the necessary distance when faced with certain destabilizing and stressful situations in life.

The 5 senses and feelings

The 5 senses are an integral part of our daily lives: smelling, tasting, listening, seeing and touching consciously allows us to return to calm and free ourselves from tension. They allow us to return to ourselves, to our interiority and to return to calm.

Practiced with active bodily listening, they open doors to meet and experience the relational and social world differently, they change the feeling and perception of a situation and help to take a different look at oneself and the environment.

The educational use of the senses constitutes in itself a method of relaxation which allows one to modify one's states of consciousness.

This work helps to enrich the sensory capacities of a wide audience (children, adolescents, adults, elderly people, etc.) with varied specificities (sensory disabilities, concentration and memorization difficulties, social isolation, etc.), and in different intervention contexts (school and educational, associative, social and reception, therapeutic and hospital, retirement homes, etc.).

The link and the animal at the heart of the link

The animal will help create a bond and well-being by taking the time, in a secure, caring environment and with respect for everyone.

Unique moments of sharing, exchanges, and experience, this work allows us to develop the ability to recreate links, to trust and to rely on resource people.

It is learning a new way of being connected to gain freedom and be able to make positive choices for oneself and break with isolation.
